Hello. Let’s see… a little about me… first and foremost, I am a mom. I have two amazing sons ages eight and 14. They keep me busy, stressed and happy. Next, I am proud to say I work for the American Red Cross of Greater Columbus. I joined the Red Cross in 2000 as the organization’s first marketing director and inherited the communications role a couple of years later. I love my job, finding it challenging and rewarding. Responsible for all external communication, I also get to teach awesome Red Cross volunteers how to handle the public affairs role during times of disaster, collaborate with public information officers throughout the county and every once in a while can be seen on the evening news (not my favorite part of the job but interesting nonetheless). Before I came to the Red Cross, I lived in Washington, D.C. for 11 years where I worked for two fine organizations - Conservation International and the National Wildlife Federation - in marketing and licensing. I loved living in the D.C. area but the lure of family here in Ohio brought me back. Born and raised in Mansfield, OH, I graduated from The Ohio University – that other Ohio school! When not in the emergency room with one of my kids, I enjoy reading, movies, playing tennis and just about anything else.
